Welcome to Quartzsite!
Quartzsite, Arizona is the ideal place for anyone who drives an RV. In the winter, when the weather is perfect, it is the home of the annual Quartzsite Sports, Vacation and RV Show. Quartzsite is also a wonderful place to find gems, rocks, minerals and fossils. During January and February, the town hosts around 10 different gem and mineral shows in a flea market type setting. With over a million people visiting during these two months, Quartzsite makes itself the place to be.
There is definitely more to Quartzsite than what its name entails. The town’s total land area of 36.3 square miles is home to a number of scenic attractions such as the Crystal Hill, Spanish Wall, Tyson Tanks, and Tyson Wells Museum. Quartzsite also takes pride on its Palm Canyon, which is at the south of the breathtaking Kofa Mountains. It is a narrow gorge and is famous for being the only place in the entire state of Arizona where native palms grow. If those are not enough to pique your interests then there is the Hi Jolly Monument. It is where Hadji Ali is buried. Ali is known for his part on the failed effort of the US War Department back in the 1850s in using camels as beasts of burden.
